What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They allow the site to remember information about your session — such as whether you are signed in — and to collect analytics data about how the site is used.

In addition to cookies, we may use local storage, session storage, and similar browser-based technologies. This policy covers all of these collectively as "cookies."

02

How We Use Cookies

EngageIQ uses cookies for the following purposes:

  • Authentication & security — to keep you signed in, protect your session, and guard against cross-site request forgery (CSRF).
  • Preferences — to remember your active workspace and UI settings across visits.
  • Product analytics — to understand how features are used so we can improve the platform (PostHog).
  • Consent management — to store and enforce your cookie preferences.

We do not use cookies for cross-site behavioural advertising, and we do not sell cookie-derived data to third parties.

04

Third-Party Cookies

Some pages may load resources from third-party services that set their own cookies. These third parties operate under their own privacy policies.

We do not embed social-media tracking pixels, third-party advertising cookies, or retargeting scripts on the platform or marketing site.

06

Managing & Withdrawing Consent

You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time:

  • Use the preference manager below to update your choices on this site.
  • Clear all cookies for this site in your browser settings.
  • Use your browser's private / incognito mode — no persistent cookies are written.
  • Install a browser extension that blocks analytics scripts.

Withdrawing consent for analytics cookies will stop future data collection but will not erase data already collected before the withdrawal. Withdrawing consent for essential cookies will sign you out and may prevent you from using the authenticated platform.

07

Browser-Level Controls

Most browsers provide controls to block or delete cookies. Below are links to guidance for common browsers. Note that blocking all cookies will prevent you from signing in.

BrowserCookie settings
Google ChromeSettings → Privacy and security → Cookies
Mozilla FirefoxSettings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
Apple SafariPreferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Microsoft EdgeSettings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies
08

Cookies in Email Campaigns

This Cookie Policy covers cookies set on EngageIQ's own web properties. Separately, emails sent through the platform on behalf of our customers may use tracking pixels and click-tracking links — these are described in our Privacy Policy — Email Tracking section. Senders are responsible for obtaining consent from their email recipients where required.

09

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where material changes are made, display a new consent banner or notify you through the dashboard.
